Top Ten Tuesday is weekly meme hosted The Broke and the Bookish. There is a new topic for each week and the participating bloggers are invited to post their Top Ten lists on it.
Some of the best book I read this year are written by new-to-me authors. Here is my Top Ten list. The order of the names is random and the links lead to the Goodreads page of the respective author.
Top Ten Bookish Goals/Resolutions for 2014
Read new genres/types of books – It is high time I time some stories involving shapeshifters (I am thinking Nalini Singh), some historical romance - I can’t believe I haven’t tried it yet, I am curious about the steampunk novels, as well.
Read more – Over the past year I was mainly focused on contemporary romance and New Adult, but I feel I need to read more YA, fantasy, sci-fi, literary fiction
Read less – I love biker books, rockstar romance, angsty New adult, but too many of the ones I read were really bad, so I will try to be more careful what I pick this year
Review every book I read - I hesitate to write reviews of books I didn't like much and want to change that
Improve the style of my reviews - Practice makes perfect, you know :)
Increase blog’s popularity - I don't have a plan how to do that yet, but I will continue working on it
Try new authors - I have discovered a bunch of amazing new authors last year and hope to do so also in 2014
Request less ARCs - I need to be careful what I request since I often end up with too many ARCs and not enough time to read and review them
Be more active on Pinterest - I am still thinking over how to organize my boards on Pinterest but I hope to collect/share more pins on my favourite books/series/authors
Organize more giveaways, participate in promos/book tours - I don't have much time for this but sending an email to a fan telling them that they won a giveaway makes me really happy.
