January Blog Recap

Here is how this year started on the blog - a lot of reading and a lot of blogging.

I read and reviewed 9 books.
Click on the cover to go to my review of the book.

I continued with Teaser Tuesday meme (41, 42, 43 and 44) and Top Ten Tuesday - Top Ten Bookish Goals/Resolutions for 2014, Top Ten Things On My Reading Wishlist (7 characters/plots I'd like to see more often in books) and Top Ten Worlds I'd Never Want to Live in and Characters I'd Never Want to Trade Places with

The best read for me this month was The Emperor's Blades by Brian Staveley- an amazing start to a new epic fantasy series. A close second is The Chocolate Temptation by Laura Florand

My biggest disappointment was Three Broken Promises by Monica Murphy - after loving the first two books on Drew and Fable and I had high hopes for this one but was bitterly disappointed.

I did a Release event post for The Chocolate Temptation by Laura Florand which featured an excerpt from the book and a giveaway. I am ending the month with a Book Blitz for The Hardest Part by Heather London. It also features and excerpt and a giveaway open till 6 Feb.

I finally started Nalini Singh's Psy-Changeling series. I read Slave to Sensation and I really loved it. I am reading the second book at the moment - Visions of Heat, and it is just as good as the first on. I won't be reviewing these books on the blog but I will be posting mini reviews on Goodreads.

I also read ARC of Love Hacked by Penny Reid. It was an amazingly funny and hot read and will be reviewing it sometime before its release in March. I also read ARC of Once in a Lifetime by Jill Shalvis. I will be posting my review as part of the Blog Tour for it next month.

I have a few ARCs lined up for next month and some other books on my immediate TBR list. I hope to have the time to read and review them all.

  1. Sounds like a great month! I'm intrigued by the cat tattoo books. I have Three Broken Promises, but I'm really hesitant to try it because I know a lot of people didn't like it. I am excited that you are enjoying the Psy-Changeling series...Nalini Singh is a genius! Happy reading in February!

    1. Thanks Jennifer! I'd say skip Three Broken Promises :) I still want to read Four Years Later and Drew and Fable Forever. I absolutely agree with you, Nalini Singh is really great. I'm in love with the Psy-Changeling series :) Enjoy your reading too!
