Top Ten Tuesday 09

21:55

Top Ten Tuesday is weekly meme hosted The Broke and the Bookish. There is a new topic for each week and the participating bloggers are invited to post their Top Ten lists on it.

This week Top Ten Tuesday is all about the sequels we are looking forward to. My list has some titles that have already been release, some close to being released and a few set to be available in the more distant future.

Top Ten Sequels I Can't Wait To Get My Hands On

Champion (Legend #3) by Marie Lu - This is definitely one of my favourite dystopian series and I can't wait for the big finale. (release date: 5 Nov)

Allegiant (Divergent #3) by Veronica Roth  - It has received quite a few negative reviews and I already know a big spoiler about the story, still I want to read it, just to see how things will play out in the end.

Just One Year (Just One Day #2) by Gayle Forman - I liked the first book, but didn't love it. Now, I am really excited to read Willem's side of the story. And Ms Forman is writes incredible male POV if you take Where She Went as any indication.

Burned (Dani O'Malley Trilogy #2, Fever series #7) by Karen Marie Moning - The Fever series is by far the best urban fantasy I have read and since Mac and Barrons will be returning with this book, July 2014 when it is set to release can't come soon enough.

Take Me On (Pushing the Limits #4) by Katie McGarry - I just finished an ARC of Crash into You and I absolutely loved it. It is there that we meet West, the hero in the next book, coming out in May 2014. We get just glimpses of West in Crash Into You and he is story is bound to be something special.
Masquerade (Games #3) by Nyrae Dawn - I enjoyed the first two books in the series and I am excited to read Maddox's story in book 3. (release date: 7 Jan 2014)

The Edge of Always (The Edge of Never #2) by J. A. Redmerski - I enjoyed the first book a lot, so I am more than ready to continue with Andrew and Camryn's journey. (release date: 5 Nov)

Love Hacked: A Reluctant Romance (Knitting in the City, #3) by Penny Reid - I just love Ms Reid's writing and I quite enjoyed both Neanderthal Seeks Human and Friends Without Benefits and I am sure that Love Hacked will be just as fun to read. (release date: not set yet)

Avoiding Temptation (Avoiding #3) by K. A. Linde - This series has been a frustrating read for me, still I want to read the final book and see who Lexi will choose in the end. (release date: 10 Dec)

The Dream Thieves (The Raven Cycle #2) by Maggie Stiefvater - The first book in this series, The Raven Boys, was a challenging read which left too many unanswered questions and I hope book 2 will give us at least some of the answers.

What sequels are you most excited about? Leave me a comment and I will stop by your blog to check them out :)

  1. Great list.. I have Allegiant and Just One Year on my TBR list before this year ends and I too have heard negative reviews about Allegiant so I'm kind of afraid to start reading it. Crash Into You, I have in my list and it's great to hear that there's a book 4 in the works. Yay! I'm now reading Friends without Benefits by Penny Reid and more yay for more sequels? Do you have any idea who's the lead in Book 3 of the Knitting in the City series?

    Here's my Top Ten :)

    1. Loved Hacked (Knitting in the City 3) will tell Sandra's story. Penny sent an excerpt in her newsletter and it looks really funny and sexy :)))

  2. I've recently finished Allegiant. I was terrified to read it because of all the reviews. I read it with lowered expectations and actually quite enjoyed it.. Great list!

  3. Great list! I just got Allegiant yesterday, finally. Will crack it soon :)
I didn't really like Legend so I am a bit reluctant to read the rest of the series...

  5. So excited Champion is finally out!!! I hope you enjoy Allegiant, Divergent is one of my all time favourite books but I honestly hated Allegiant, pretty much beginning to end. Some people really loved it though so you may love it! My TTT.
