Top Ten Tuesday 08
06:02
Top Ten Tuesday is weekly meme hosted The Broke and the Bookish. There is a new topic for each week and the participating bloggers are invited to post their Top Ten lists on it.
My TTT list this week is a mix of the suggested topic Top Ten Character Names I Love or Top Ten Unusual Character Names. I have included more than 10 names from less than 10 books , but sometimes the names of the characters go so well together, so I had no choice but to list them together.
Top Ten Unusual Character Names I Love
Camden (The Artists Trilogy by Karina Halle) - I am currently reading the final book in the series, Bold Tricks, and I am loving it. I have been team Camden from the start - a sexy nerdy tattoo artist ready to do anything for the love of his life. I think the name suits him perfectly and love that is is never shortened to Cam.
Kane ”Tack” Allen (Motorcycle Man by Kristen Ashley) - He is the president of a motorcycle club and goes mostly by his nickname, Tack, but I also love his full name, it is just as badass as him
Kellan Kyle (Thoughtless series by S. C. Stephens) - My favourite rock star and his names just go so well together.
Callum (Callum & Harper by Fisher Amelie) from I obviously have s thing for male names starting with K :) Truth be told, I find the name rather unusual and not so much lovable.
January (Thomas and January by Fisher Amelie) - she is oldest child and all her siblings are named after the moths of the year. Weird but ncie.
Katniss and Peeta (The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins) - I like the as a couple, like their names which are rather uncommon and go so well together.
Jesse and Rowen (Lost and Found series by Nicole Williams) - same as the above. Jesse Walker is the just the right name for a cowboy and the name Rowen fits his very artistic city girl perfectly.
Jericho Z Barrons, Mac (Machyala Lane) and Ryodan (The Fever series by Karen Marie Moning) - Unique names for unique characters
Lake, River and Rainbow (Raine) (Lingerie Wars by Janet Elizabeth Henderson) - Their parents were eco-activists, hence the names for their two sons and daughter. I found the names weird at first, but then got used to them and I can honestly say that they are really unforgettable.

ReplyDeleteWhat list of unusual character names would it be without Jericho Z Barrons, right :)
DeleteLove Jericho and Katniss seems to be a popular choice today. I almost put Mac on my list.
