Top Ten Books I Wanted to Read but I'm Not Sure Anymore
Allegiant by Veronica Roth – Unfortunately, I read a big spoiler early on, and now I’m not sure I want to finish this series.
The Promise by Kristen Ashley – I loved Benny and Franky in At Peace, but I’ve read far too many negative reviews of their book and I’ve been disappointed in the latest books by Kristen Ashley that I read.
Love, In English by Karina Halle – the mixed reviews make me hesitant to pick up this book. Add to that the fact that involves cheating and it goes to my maybe-read pile.
The Coincidnce Series by Jessica Sorensen – this series is becoming too depressing and the author keeps adding new books and stretching the stories, so I’m not sure I’ll continue with it.
Take a Chance by Abbi Glines – I was curious about Grant’s story since I quite liked him in book 1, but this series is getting repetitive and there seems to be no end in sight.
Promise Me This by Christina Lee – the previous two books in this series didn't work very well for me, but the blurb for this one makes me curious and I might give this author another try.
Deeper by Robin York – I love the adult novels by Ruthie Knox but I’m not sure about her NA books written under the name Robin York. I haven’t had much success with NA, so I’m hesitant.

Allegiant was not really worth it for me. I could feel the books going down hill when - well when I started reading the first one.
ReplyDeleteI've been seeing Allegiant a lot today. I loved it though, so maybe you should give it a chance? :)

Blah Allegiant. If your not dying for "closure" then I would just skip this one. Did anyone love it?

I don't know if I LOVED Allegiant but I did think it was worth the read. It wrapped up and explained a lot of things. The end stuck with me and made me think a bit as well.
ReplyDeleteThe only one of these I've read which is Allegiant. I didn't love it, and it's gutting that you saw a spoiler - I know that'd definitely put me off. I was always going to read it because not reading the final book just feels alien to me, and I'm glad I did, but it's not one I'm likely to reread.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely loved Love, In English, but yeah, cheating will put a lot of people off. If you’re OK with reading about it, I’d say give it a chance :)
ReplyDeleteAllegiant’s ending was spoiled for me as well. I didn’t really enjoy Insurgent, so I was on the fence with reading the last book. Now though, I don’t feel there is any point.

I had the same with Allegiant, such a horrible ending to get spoiled. I finally did read the book and I'm still not sure how I feel about it. I wouldn't say this book is necessarily to read..
